Job Summary


Osler is seeking an experienced Enterprise Application Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation, administration, maintenance, support, and development of the firm's Enterprise Systems.


Key Responsibilities



  2. Assist in the ongoing function of financial systems by participating in new projects, developing and maintaining existing systems, maintaining system security, and assisting in implementing upgrades to financial systems.
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to application systems, software performance, and functionality.
  4. Assist Finance and Information Services Departments with executing all stages of the enterprise application lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, programming, integration, and testing activities.
  5. Perform data analysis to facilitate identifying and resolving issues and problems.
  6. Develop documentation, training, and development of users regarding the firm's financial systems and data.
  7. Create, review, and maintain Method of Procedure, Build, System Process, and all internal Administration documents for the system of their responsibility.
  8. Reviews, tests, and determines the system potential of enterprise systems as required by Firm members.
  9. Provide guidance and recommendations for performance optimization of enterprise applications.
  10. Perform data integrity, and resolution of problems or issues related to enterprise applications.
  11. Administers and monitors Financial Systems to ensure database integrity, system health, control, and efficiency.
  12. Coordinate with finance and Information Services teams to analyze information technology needs and work toward recommending solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs.
  13. Manages financial and Information Services technical projects, including the ability to assign/allocate tasks to IS/F&A resources.
  14. Handles confidential materials and documents.
  15. Performs other related responsibilities as required.

Requirements


The position requires a University Degree in Accounting or Computer Science. Five years of experience with financial systems or equivalent enterprise applications and databases, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience considered. Experience in the legal industry or professional services industry is strongly preferred.


Knowledge and Skills



  2. Exposure to enterprise financial and document management systems maintenance and support required, with a professional services firm desirable.
  3. Advanced Excel and SSRS skills, or similar business reporting tools. Experience with Aderant Expert and financial systems in the legal space is an asset.
  4. Knowledge of accounting procedures, including budgeting concepts, and finance and accounting principles.
  5. Advanced knowledge and skill in database reporting and report writing tools, advanced user-level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, working with multiple systems and points of integration, and experience with design and implementation of financial and other enterprise systems.
  6. Troubleshooting skills to solve system problems and ability to link components within different enterprise systems.
  7. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with technical/non-technical users for knowledge transfer, troubleshooting, and requirements gathering.
  8. Time management and organizational skills to effectively multi-task and prioritize among many demands.
  9. Project management experience, including evaluating client needs, time estimates, setting tasks, determining priorities, tracking progress toward completion.
  10. Maintains current knowledge of changes in relevant technology and databases.
