About the Role

This Senior Pipeline Engineer position involves participating in the design of different aspects of energy industry projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive pipeline engineering and design services by establishing design criteria and preparing specifications, design computations, drawings, models, and bills of material according to basic project requirements.

  • Performing detailed code calculations and applying advanced engineering techniques and analyses to complex engineering tasks.
  • Completing and reviewing piping data in the line list.
  • Preparing and reviewing engineering work packages.
  • Procurement of various pipeline components.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and registration of pipelines accordingly.
  • Providing technical guidance to junior staff.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of industry and regulatory standards.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in pipeline engineering and design in the energy industry, specifically related to SAGD pipelines and associated codes and standards.

A Bachelor's degree or master's degree in engineering or applied science is required, along with thorough knowledge of SAGD pipelines, material selection, high-strength materials, and high-temperature pipelines.

You should also possess strong organizational skills, technical competence, and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
