Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipeline Integrity Engineer to join our Enhanced Analysis Team based in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering analysis and reporting deliverables to clients, utilizing advanced ILI data integration techniques to extract maximum value from inspection results.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Corrosion Growth Assessments: Utilize repeat inspection data to evaluate corrosion growth trends and provide actionable insights to clients.
  • Mechanical Deformation Assessment: Apply caliper data to calculate dent strain or shape parameters, enabling accurate assessment of pipeline integrity.
  • Enhanced Analysis: Integrate inertial measurement unit data to evaluate bending strain related to localized bending and pipeline movement, providing comprehensive insights into pipeline behavior.
  • Data Integration and Assessment: Combine datasets from multiple sources, including historical inspection data, alignment validation, and third-party inspection data, to deliver robust analysis and reporting.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with contemporary ILI technology, emerging reporting deliverables, and industry standards to ensure the highest level of technical expertise.
  • New Business Opportunities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to establish Onstream as a value-added service provider in the pipeline integrity space.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Develop and maintain excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively understand client needs and articulate the value of integrity services deliverables.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years in ILI analysis, pipeline integrity, and data management.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with P.Eng designation in good standing with APEGA.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
    • Clear understanding of end-user requirements and integrity management methodologies.
    • Strong understanding of ILI data (MFL/Geometry/IMU) and technology.
    • Self-driven with ability to work diligently and achieve results with minimal supervision.
    • Able to manage multiple competing requests and deliverables, with a service mentality.
    • Complex reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication skills in both oral and written form; including report writing.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with others, both inside and external to the Company.
