About the Role

Aviso Wealth is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Director, Data Governance and Information Management to join our Data Management & Business Intelligence team.

This is a key leadership role that will be responsible for managing all organization-wide data governance and information management activities. The successful candidate will have accountability for improving the quality and managing the protection of sensitive data and information assets in enabling the data & analytics ambition for Aviso Wealth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all organization-wide data governance and information management activities
  • Improve the quality and manage the protection of sensitive data and information assets
  • Provide strategic input and recommendations to evolve the overarching Aviso Data Governance and Information Management Program
  • Work closely with individual business data owners to support the implementation of data management practices and data governance across all of Aviso's business lines and shared services
  • Establish and maintain high standards for data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
  • Protect data from unauthorized access, breaches, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Facilitate the efficient retrieval, usage, and sharing of data across the organization
  • Enable data-driven insights and analytics to guide organizational strategy and operations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or computer science or related field
  • 10 years minimum work experience in analytics field in the digital wealth or wealth management industry
  • 5+ years in a leadership role, and experience leading distributed teams across multiple time zones
  • Expert knowledge of DCAM and the DMBOK, and EDM Council (or equivalent) membership/exposure
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Highly skilled in data management tooling, data catalog, business glossary, data policy, and data quality
  • Knowledge of data-related regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
  • Proficiency in the architecture of a modern data stack
  • Hands-on experience implementing, expansion, and using one or more leading data quality software products at scale
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced performance-driven environment
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
