Our municipal client is seeking a dedicated leader to oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of the municipality's water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of essential service facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local regulations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Alberta Environment Certification in Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant processes, equipment, and regulations.
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations outside of regular working hours.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for data management and reporting.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, manage performance, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with staff, other departments, and the public.
  • Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
  • In-depth understanding of utility systems, including water and wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions.
