We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Ontario Inc.
About the Role:- This is a permanent position requiring 40-44 hours of work per week.
- No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation is necessary.
- Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
- Operating mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials.
- Driving pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures using pile driving cranes.
- Instructing apprentices in the safe operation of heavy equipment.
- Assembling tower cranes on-site.
- Moving objects and materials at railway yards using locomotive cranes.
- Assisting in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
- Lifting, moving, and placing plant machinery and materials using bridge or overhead cranes.
- Unloading and reloading supply vessels using offshore oil rig cranes.
- Cleaning and piling salvaged materials.
- Performing routine maintenance work.
- Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
- Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites.
- Tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and physical activity.
- Repetitive movements of hands, wrists, and arms.
- Frequent exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, and noise.
- Accurate and reliable in performing tasks.
- Dependable and flexible in adapting to changing situations.
- Hardworking and committed to meeting deadlines.
- An estimated salary of $60,000 to $80,000 per annum based on experience.
