Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining contracted assets through the operation of heavy equipment, particularly during seasonal needs such as snow plow operations. This position requires a high level of safety awareness and the ability to recognize hazards. Effective communication with co-workers is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Removal of snow and ice using snow removal and/or sanding equipment
  • Maintenance and repair of highway surfaces, including signs, guardrails, and lighting
  • Transportation of crew and equipment to work sites
  • Setup and removal of traffic control
  • Emergency response rotations as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years related work experience in construction, road maintenance, or commercial/industrial repair
  • Valid Ontario Class DZ driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work in an environment with changing demands and priorities

Work Environment:

The employee will be exposed to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, and will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
