About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Marine Underwriter to join our team. As a Senior Underwriter, you'll be responsible for underwriting commercial marine insurance policies, managing risk, and developing business opportunities. You'll work closely with our brokers and other stakeholders to provide excellent service and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite commercial marine insurance policies, including reviewing and analyzing risk, making recommendations, and issuing policies.
- Manage risk and develop business opportunities, including identifying new markets and developing relationships with brokers.
- Provide excellent service and support to our brokers and other stakeholders, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve our underwriting practices and business opportunities.
- Collaborate with our underwriting team to achieve our business objectives and maintain a strong financial position.
What You'll Bring
- A university degree or college diploma in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial marine underwriting, with a strong understanding of risk management and business development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with brokers, stakeholders, and other team members.
- A strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
