About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Marine Underwriter to join our team. As a Senior Underwriter, you'll be responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of commercial marine insurance policies. You'll work closely with our brokers and clients to understand their needs and provide tailored insurance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite and manage a portfolio of commercial marine insurance policies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide recommendations for policy coverage
- Work closely with our claims team to resolve complex claims
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
- Collaborate with our underwriting team to achieve business objectives
What You'll Bring
- University degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in commercial marine underwriting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong knowledge of commercial marine insurance products and regulations
