We are seeking a skilled Food Counter Attendant to join our team at B.C. Ltd. As a Food Counter Attendant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth food service experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Portion and wrap foods, prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take customers' orders, and provide a welcoming and friendly experience.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • We offer on-the-job training tailored to the needs of newcomers and refugees.
  • Our team provides support with immediate settlement needs, such as housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
Support for Youths:
  • We offer on-the-job training tailored to the needs of youth.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • We offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
Support for Mature Workers:
  • We provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.

Working Conditions: Permanent position, 40 hours per week, English language, and a dynamic work environment.
