Software Engineer, Animation, Cinematics

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in developing cutting-edge tools for content creators across Electronic Arts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in game development, computer science fundamentals, and experience with C# and C++.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality engine tools and workflows.
- Collaborate with engineers, content creators, and product management to improve existing tools and workflows.
- Mentor junior engineers to grow their proficiency and increase the effectiveness of the team.
- Work with game teams to gather requirements for new tool features and workflow improvements.
- Demonstrate professional engineering capabilities by delivering high-quality solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in game development or equivalent industry.
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented analysis and design.
- Experience writing high-quality and performant code in C# and C++.
- Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring other engineers.
- Experience working in a large, complex codebase.
- Experience and demonstrated proficiency in UI/UX development.
- Expertise with professional source control software such as Perforce or GitHub.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a technical leadership role.
- Game engine development.
- Experience with WPF.
- Experience developing real-time character visual, motion, or cinematic systems.
- Experience with machine learning.
