Job Title: Cinematic Artist
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Cinematic Artist to join our team at IFG - International Financial Group. As a Cinematic Artist, you will be responsible for creating compelling cinematic scenes that enhance the overall gaming experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Cinematics Director and various departments of the Game Team to create cinematic scenes.
- Previsualize scenes in Maya and Unreal using concepts, scripts, and storyboards.
- Prepare and support motion capture sessions.
- Perform technical layout of real-time scenes in Motion Builder, Maya, and Unreal.
- Edit scenes with audio using Premiere and Unreal.
- Publish the final camera work.
- Create seamless transitions between gameplay and cinematics.
- Convey emotions and storytelling through cinematic cameras.
- Develop a deep understanding of proprietary tools and processes used in layout.
- Anticipate layout production needs and effectively communicate tool requests.
- Collaborate with production on dependencies, estimates, and scheduling.
- Mentor and train new layout artists as needed.
Requirements:
- 35 years of experience in video games, film, television, or equivalent.
- Art-related degree and/or comparable professional experience.
- In-depth understanding of cinematic language and storytelling techniques.
- Strong knowledge of camera lenses and principles of cinematography.
- Experience working with motion capture.
- Comprehensive understanding of animation principles.
- Ability to offer creative problem-solving ideas for cinematics.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Maya, Motion Builder, and Premiere.
Preferred Skills:
- Scripting skills in Maya and Motion Builder.
- Unreal Engine or other game engine experience.
- Animation rigging and video editing experience.
