About the Tilesetter Role

At McLeod Realty & Management Ltd, we seek a highly skilled Tilesetter to join our team. This is a permanent position with a 30-40 hour workweek, offering English as the primary work language. As a Tilesetter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying adhesives, and setting tiles in place. Your expertise will be invaluable in creating beautiful and functional spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, measuring, and marking areas to be covered.
  • Mix and apply adhesives using hand tools.
  • Set tiles in place, applying pressure to secure them to the base.
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power tools.
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Install underbeds, anchor bolts, wires, and brackets.
  • Cut, surface, and polish marble and granite.
  • Estimate costs and materials for tile installations.
  • Mix, lay, and polish terracotta surfaces.
  • Install tile strips.
