About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Kitchen Operations Manager to join our team at East Side Mario's. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality food and service standards, and leading a team of culinary professionals.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You must also be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and effective food preparation and presentation.
- Train and develop staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge, promoting career growth and development.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.
- Prepare and submit reports on kitchen performance, highlighting areas for improvement and success stories.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating the best prices and services for East Side Mario's.
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily kitchen operations, ensuring seamless execution of menu items and promotions.
- 11-15 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant or food service establishment.
- Demonstrated expertise in food safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, customers, and suppliers.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on finding creative solutions and resolving issues efficiently.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and Word, with experience using these tools to analyze data, create reports, and communicate effectively.
This is a permanent full-time position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with regular exposure to heat, steam, and other kitchen hazards.
Salary RangeThe estimated annual salary for this role is $63,000 - $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
