Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at SCAN GLOBAL SOLUTIONS INC. as a Bookkeeper. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and performing various accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping
    • Accurately maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
    • Prepare and post journal entries, and reconcile accounts as needed.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
    • Develop and maintain financial reports to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Payroll and Benefits
    • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll.
    • Ensure accurate and timely payment of benefits and other employee-related expenses.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws.
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks to the organization.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College/CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Skills
    • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and other accounting software.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
