The British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) is seeking a highly skilled Donor Relations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with our donors, ensuring their stewardship and recognition, and driving fundraising efforts to support our institution's mission.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive stewardship program to foster long-term relationships with donors.
- Plan and execute fundraising appeals, including managing project timelines, identifying target audiences, and evaluating the effectiveness of appeals.
- Collaborate with the development team to set annual fundraising goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
- Lead the coordination and maintenance of the Foundation's recognition library, stewardship matrix, and recognition style guides.
- Provide exceptional donor stewardship through timely appreciation calls, cultivation activities, and follow-ups.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders to deepen connections with donors.
- Work with the development team to ensure timely and effective delivery of stewardship initiatives, including recognition events and impact reports.
- Identify and lead synergies within the development team to enhance the donor experience.
- Prepare reports and make recommendations for improvements.
- Coordinate and execute various filing systems to maintain accurate donor records.
- Completion of two years post-secondary education or diploma in marketing and communications, fundraising, or business administration.
- Valid BC driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Two years of general experience plus four years of experience in a similar position, including specific experience in fundraising and special event planning and coordination.
- Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Raiser's Edge, NXT an asset.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as required.
