About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Advisor to join our team at Servus Credit Union. As a Financial Advisor, you will play a key role in developing long-term relationships with members, building trust, and delivering customized financial solutions that meet their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities to match members with the right financial products and services that help them achieve their financial goals
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and referral goals, while providing exceptional member service
  • Participate in business development plans through corporate and branch marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and engage members in conversations to determine their immediate financial needs
  • Develop ongoing knowledge of our current investment and retail banking services and products
  • Promote referrals to our Wealth Management, Business Banking teams, and third-party providers
  • Build a comprehensive knowledge of the local market, competitive offers, and economic trends
  • Adhere to all audits, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to mitigate risks of fraud or loss
  • Provide outstanding member experience by adhering to Servus' best practices
  • Contribute to Servus' unparalleled culture of teamwork, positivity, and collaboration
  • Maintain Servus' positive image in the community
Requirements

To qualify, you will need at least 2 years of retail banking or related financial industry experience, preferably in sales or customer service and a high school diploma.

Although not required, the following education/certificates are valuable assets:

  • Post-secondary education in Finance (or related studies)
  • Investment Funds in Canada Course & License (IFIC)
  • Personal Financial Service Advice (PFSA)
  • Financial Planning I (FP1)
