Alberta Health Services is seeking a skilled Social Worker II to join our Community Mental Health and Addiction program in Fort McMurray. As a member of our inter-disciplinary team, you will provide a range of social work services to patients and their families, including psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans for patients and their families
  • Conduct individual, group and family therapy sessions to address mental health and addiction issues
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions
  • Develop and implement prevention and promotion programs to support community mental health and well-being

Requirements:

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in Social Work
  • Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW)
