Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at Microsoft. As a key member of our Threat Intelligence Center (MSTIC) Signals Engineering team, you will play a critical role in enhancing research, detection, and protection against attacks on Microsoft and our customers.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, large-scale computing, and cybersecurity. You will work closely with threat intelligence analysts to deliver intelligence-focused solutions, providing additional data, artefacts, and analysis to enable our adversary pursuit mission.

Responsibilities

  • Accelerate our analysts' insights by building innovative analysis tooling run at cloud scale
  • Work with Threat Intelligence Analysts to maintain and improve their automated workflows
  • Work with other internal and external teams to forge new and improve existing partnerships that advance defenders' understanding of key threats

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cybersecurity, and/or anomaly detection
  • 5+ years development experience with skills in a mix of C/C++, C# and scripting languages (Python/PowerShell/JS)
  • Experience in testing, deploying and supporting large real-time scale services on Azure, AWS or similar environments
  • Knowledge of post-breach compromise domain including methods for reconnaissance, persistence, lateral movement and data exfiltration across both on-premises and cloud environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cybersecurity, and/or anomaly detection
  • Proficient cross-group and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate the business need for security and technical improvements
