ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Wind River Information Security team is dedicated to aligning with the business's goals by deploying cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies and methodologies to safeguard our organization and client data from cyber threats and unforeseen disruptions.

As a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be instrumental in developing cybersecurity risk frameworks, executing technology risk evaluations, and overseeing control monitoring. Your role will be pivotal in aiding the Information Security team to secure Wind River's information assets through the establishment and enforcement of robust security measures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in the design and creation of new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks, while also facilitating the deployment of new security measures.
  • Contribute to investigations of suspicious activities and assist in formulating plans for effective resolution.
  • Examine network packet data, Windows and Linux/UNIX operating system information, executable file data, host data, IDS/IPS logs, net flow, and metadata to identify and analyze anomalies.
  • Conduct forensic investigations and malware assessments.
  • Support the development and enhancement of new and existing tools and techniques to improve analytical capabilities.
  • Assist in fine-tuning current security sensors.
  • Validate and triage Data Loss Prevention incidents.
  • Participate in coordinating resources during incident response activities.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments.
  • Educate users on security principles and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on IT security metrics.
  • Manage issues from identification to resolution with guidance from a Senior Security Analyst as necessary.
  • Deliver outstanding service by comprehending business drivers and requirements.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and IT senior management to implement a continuous technology roadmap that supports cyber operations and integrates new technologies into the overall framework.
  • With a global focus, collaborate with client groups across the organization to strengthen Wind River's cybersecurity posture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of overall IT experience, with at least three (3) years specifically in cyber/information security.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure in one or more of the following areas: clients (Windows, Linux), servers, storage, data protection, databases, or networking.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning technologies and/or reports.
  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies: zero-day APT protection appliances, Next-Gen Firewall systems, vulnerability scanning suites, DLP, forensic investigation and imaging tools, security-focused Linux distributions.
  • Security certifications such as CSIS, CEH, CSTA, CSTP, GCFE, CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, or GPEN are advantageous.
  • Self-driven and proactive in identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Experience working both independently and in a collaborative team environment is essential.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving skills.
