Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality hemodialysis care to our patients. As a Hemodialysis Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care, evaluating health conditions, and implementing treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans
  • Administer hemodialysis treatments and monitor patients' responses
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in research activities to improve patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Member of the Order of Quebec Nurses (O.I.I.Q.)
  • DEC in Nursing
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in hospital settings
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in hemodialysis
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Cree culture and social and health issues in Eeyou Istchee
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Good resistance to stress
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
  • Fluency in English; fluency in Cree or French is an asset
Work Environment

This position includes on-call periods and requires the ability to work 6 shifts of 12-hours and 1 shift of 8-hours for each pay period.
