Job Title: Houseperson

Hotel Arts Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our Housekeeping Department as a Houseperson.

Job Summary:

The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the public, employee, retail, and guest floor areas of the Hotel Arts Complex to meet the needs and expectations of our guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean the public spaces of the Hotel Arts Complex, including the lobby, fitness centre, pool area, office areas, staff locker rooms, stairwells, backspaces, corridors, parkade, and exterior spaces.
  • Perform graffiti removal, power washing awnings, front drive, and entrances, and carpet and upholstery cleaning as assigned.
  • Report maintenance concerns and maintain guest room hallways and service areas.
  • Assist with sorting and folding of laundry and undertake special cleaning projects as needed.
Requirements:
  • Flexible schedule is essential, with availability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • 1-2+ years' experience in Housekeeping in Hotels or janitorial services companies is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and experience in driving a 2-ton truck is required for Laundry delivery as needed.
  • Ability to operate various pieces of cleaning equipment and stand for long periods with some heavy lifting required.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate and WHMIS/Chemical Handling courses are an asset.
