Job Summary

Momentum is seeking a skilled Developmental Service Worker to join our team in a group home setting. As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will provide critical support to individuals with mental health disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide suicide and crisis intervention services to clients
  • Resolve conflict situations and maintain a safe work environment
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses
  • Assist clients with special needs and accompany them to appointments and social outings
  • Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset or equivalent experience
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
  • Valid driver's licence and own transportation
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and work in a team environment.
