About the Role

Momentum is seeking a skilled and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our team. As a Developmental Service Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental health challenges, and other special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide suicide and crisis intervention to individuals in need
  • Resolve conflict situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs, including personal hygiene and daily living tasks
  • Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset, or equivalent experience
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Medical exam
  • Immunization records
