Job Title: Developmental Service Worker

Momentum is seeking a skilled and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our team. As a Developmental Service Worker, you will provide support and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental health conditions, and other special needs.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic individual to work in a group home setting, providing suicide and crisis intervention, resolving conflict situations, and supervising activities of clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work under pressure, and possess a strong commitment to client-focused care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide suicide and crisis intervention
  • Resolve conflict situations
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
  • Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Medical exam
  • Immunization records
