Job Title: Corporate Food Safety and Compliance Manager
About the Role
Nature's Touch, a leading supplier of frozen fruit, is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Food Safety and Compliance Manager to join our team in Montreal, Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the team responsible for ensuring the high-level standards of programs related to ingredient suppliers.
- Assess ingredient suppliers and provide food safety approval or rejection.
- Establish high-level standards that suppliers must respect to ensure food safety.
- Work in direct partnership with suppliers to ensure proper execution.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Visit and audit ingredient suppliers worldwide to certify food safety and integrity compliance.
- Set and optimize relevant KPIs to demonstrate the performance of the ingredients supplier's department.
- Ensure all related documentation is up to date.
- Get involved in the assessment of investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventative actions taken by suppliers.
Requirements
- University degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years experience in supervising a team.
- Suppliers' approval experience in food, pharmaceutical, or cosmetics.
- Food safety experience in a ready-to-eat environment is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills in English.
