Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of banquet staff to ensure seamless event execution
  • Work closely with the Assistant General Manager, Food and Beverage, to plan and execute banquets and events
  • Ensure that all events are executed to the highest standard, meeting the needs of clients and exceeding their expectations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Manage inventory, track expenses, and maintain accurate records
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure that events are executed smoothly
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve event execution, customer satisfaction, and team performance

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Smart Serve certification
  • Bilingualism in English and French
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, supervising staff in an unionized environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
