Lead Quality Control Inspector

Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lead Quality Control Inspector to join our team.

Job Summary

The Lead Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and sampling materials, parts, or products for defects and any deviations from specifications. This role will also involve observing and monitoring operations to ensure conformance to procedures and making necessary process improvements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality databases.
  • Assist in creating work guidelines for rework (quality control) work orders with the Warehouse Manager.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
  • Achieve quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Exercise self-governance over daily priorities and responsibilities, as in some cases, the position may work alone at their site under remote supervision.
Requirements
  • Two-year degree in a technical discipline such as engineering or quality management.
  • Four-year degree preferred.
  • Three years' experience as a quality control inspector performing incoming or receiving inspection, preferably in a regulated medical device environment.
