Insurance Analyst

Canadian National Railway is seeking a highly skilled Insurance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Insurance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Senior Manager and Manager, Insurance, in the daily operation, development, and implementation of CN's commercial insurance programs and strategy.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in insurance and risk management, with experience in communicating and presenting insurance information. They will also have experience working for a major transportation company and in a Class 1 railway environment.
The ideal candidate will have a college diploma in insurance or equivalent experience, and certification as a Damage Insurance Representative or a Claims Adjuster. They will also have a Risk Management Certificate (CRM) or CIP designation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the collection of all the information necessary for the preparation of insurance submissions and applications, participating in drafting and reviewing the annual submissions and applications for the main insurance programs, and supporting the Insurance Team in contract negotiations.
They will also be responsible for collaborating with Law and Procurement to review legal contracts for vendors, suppliers, business, and operation partners or clients, and working proactively with CN brokers and forensic accountants on the preparation of large insurance claims.
The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of insurance and risk management, as well as economic principles and markets. They will also have fluently bilingual skills, both written and verbal (English, French).
