Key Responsibilities:

The Service Dispatcher/Tower Operator is responsible for optimizing workshop efficiency by allocating tasks to technicians based on their skills and capacity. This role involves managing sublet vendors and reporting any issues that may impact shop performance, safety, or employee well-being.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and assign work to technicians to maximize shop capacity and productivity
  • Monitor technician availability and inform Shop Foremen, Service Advisors, and Managers of absences or delays
  • Use repair orders and pre-delivery inspections to achieve production goals and complete internal work on time
  • Identify opportunities to enhance workshop efficiency and communicate them to Service Management
  • Handle incoming calls regarding service inquiries and schedule appointments as needed
