About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Foreign Reserves Management team as a Senior Analyst or Analyst. As a key member of our team, you will play a central role in managing the Government of Canada's Exchange Fund Account (EFA), a critical component of our official international reserves.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide sound advice on policy issues related to the management of the EFA, leveraging your expertise in financial markets and portfolio management.
  • Lead or co-lead projects to support and improve the investment framework, collaborating with stakeholders across the Bank and the Department of Finance.
  • Conduct in-depth analytical and policy analysis, developing and using financial models to support policy recommendations.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to drive policy questions and resolve business issues effectively.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in finance or economics, with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and accurately with internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to maintain high ethical and professional standards, with a commitment to learning and self-development.
  • Understanding of central banking and foreign reserves management, with a strong knowledge of portfolio management theory and fixed income investment strategies.
