At Canada Life, we're seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Disability Solutions and Shared Services group, you'll play a crucial role in providing actionable insights that drive business decisions.

About the Role:

  • You will lead the development and maintenance of complex data solutions, including reports, dashboards, and databases, to support head office and field operations.
  • You'll deliver ad-hoc reports and analyze data using a variety of tools, including MS Access, Excel, and Power BI.
  • With your expertise in SQL, you'll work with enterprise data sources like SQL Server, IBM DB2, and Databricks to provide insights on business issues to senior leadership.
  • You'll develop complex reporting processes to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • You'll support the production of timely and accurate operational reporting for claim payment operations.
  • You'll collaborate with Group Technology partners to design and implement new or enhanced data structures and reporting tools.

Requirements:

  • A post-secondary degree or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, Excel, MS Access, and Power BI.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working with systems development methodologies from a business perspective.
  • Working knowledge of Visual Basic (VB, VBA), C#, PHP, and GIT is an asset.
  • Well-developed organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Canada Life systems, such as BEN, PAS, EAS, and DCT, is an asset.

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
