We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team at Scorpio Masonry BC Inc. as a permanent employee.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units. They will work at heights, on scaffolding, and swing stages, and will be required to read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units
  • Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials to provide veneer facing
  • Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
  • Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures
Requirements:
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
  • Bricklayer Trade Certification
  • Bricklayer Red Seal Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling. They will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots, a hard hat, and gloves.
