Job Title: Bricklayer

We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team at Scorpio Masonry BC Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to construct and repair buildings, walls, and other structures. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work at heights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to construct and repair buildings, walls, and other structures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and sketches to calculate materials required.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete tasks.
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
  • Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures.
Requirements:
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Bricklayer Trade Certification and Red Seal Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate and Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
  • Basic security clearance.
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a fast-paced construction environment. The successful candidate must be able to work at heights, in varying weather conditions, and in a team environment.
