Financial Leadership Opportunity at the University of Regina

We are seeking a visionary financial leader to join our team as Associate Vice-President, Finance. Reporting to the Vice-President (Administration), this role will lead all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, planning, budgeting, treasury, procurement, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Financial Services and Supply Management Services departments, fostering a supportive and productive environment.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial policies, ensuring accountability and compliance.
  • Manage the annual budget process, financial planning, and reporting, presenting to the Board of Governors.
  • Monitor technological advancements and software updates in the field, implementing new technology to provide regular and timely data and reporting requirements.
  • Oversee financial audits, maintaining accurate and transparent financial records.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on financial risk management and operational improvements.
  • Engage with government officials on budgeting and policy matters.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of senior management experience within financial operations.
