We are seeking a talented QE professional to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada in Toronto, Canada. As a key member of our Quality Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will work on ensuring that our product meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Planning & Execution: Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure thorough testing of our product.
  • Bug Reporting & Tracking: Identify, report, and track defects through defect management tools, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Regression Testing: Execute regression testing to confirm that new functionalities or bug fixes have not negatively impacted existing functionality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the development cycle.
  • Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement process improvements for testing methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear, detailed test documentation and results, ensuring transparency and traceability.
  • PIV Testing: Validate final product release to ensure quality metrics and product requirements are met before production deployment.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Analyze the root cause of defects and work with cross-functional teams to prevent future occurrences.

Requirements

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, with expertise in manual testing.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Postman, SoapUI, Service/API Testing, Agile Methodology, JIRA, qTest, and programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and passion for ensuring product quality.
