Job Summary

1817833 Alberta Ltd is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our fleet of dump trucks, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Logistics and Scheduling: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations as needed to ensure smooth transportation operations.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and a Driver's License (Class 3 or D).
  • Physical Demands: Be able to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a large workload and attention to detail required.
Working Conditions
  • Work Hours: Work 30 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
  • Language: Work in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
