Heavy Duty Mechanic

Golderado Contracting Corp is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining all makes of heavy construction equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and maintain all makes of heavy construction equipment, including dozers, bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, scrapers, water wagons, motor graders, compaction rollers, and articulated trucks.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment, including fueling, lubrication, and cleaning.
- Diagnose and repair faults and malfunctions in equipment using computerized and other testing equipment.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Communicate with site management to coordinate maintenance priorities and ensure compliance with corporate health and safety policies and procedures.
- Journey Level Heavy Duty Mechanic Ticket or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a three- to five-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over three years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college, or industry courses in heavy equipment repair is required to be eligible for trade certification.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting/repairing CAT, John Deere, and Hitachi equipment is an asset.
- Experience in Heavy Civil Earthworks Construction and/or Infrastructure is required.
- Ability to handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- A valid class 5 driver's license along with a driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.
- A reliable means of transportation is required.
- Proficient English language skills are required.
- Hourly rate is dependent on experience.
