About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at EightSix Network. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for developing and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive business growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Operational Process Improvements: Analyze and optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
  • Lead Key Projects and Objectives: Execute and provide updates on key projects and objectives, ensuring timely completion and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Second Point of Escalation: Provide support and guidance to customers, carriers, and staff, resolving issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Staff Management: Conduct performance appraisals, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions as needed. Manage and delegate tasks based on roles, responsibilities, and workload.
  • Develop and Train Staff: Develop and train staff to execute day-to-day logistics activities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Communicate and Involve Staff: Communicate and involve staff in business analysis, opportunities for improvement, and growth opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Work Permit: Must have a valid work permit.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years' transportation/logistics experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including leadership, conflict resolution, and team building abilities.
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize workflow to ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment.
  • Takes initiative, is proactive in their work, and results-oriented.
  • Ability to manage and adapt to change.
  • Bilingual – French/English – additional language skills very beneficial.
