Senior Security Specialist, Defense Technology

About This OpportunityThe Senior Specialist, Industrial Security will report to the Manager, Industrial Security, and participate in the MAS security department's mission to protect individuals, facilities, property, and data belonging to the company and its customers. The role involves managing and enforcing laws and regulations, contractual obligations, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Manager Industrial Security in overseeing the operational security of L3Harris MAS facilities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for security guards employees.
- Plan and assist during safety inspections, including various audits.
- Collaborate with the Communication security (COMSEC) custodian on developing and updating the emergency plan.
- Maintain, update, and conduct the annual compliance of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
- Provide advice and support to offsite Alternate Company Security Officers (ACSO).
- Lead the development and maintenance of corporate security policies in accordance with L3Harris Corporation security policies and the Canadian Industrial Security Manual.
- Ensure compliance with security measures in collaboration with internal services.
- Act as an Alternate Company Security Officers (ACSO), as needed, for the Industrial Security Program.
- Function as a Designated Official (DO) for the Controlled Goods Program, as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field with at least 6 years of prior experience in industrial security, management, or a related field; or
- Graduate Degree in a relevant field with at least 4 years of prior experience in industrial security, management, or a related field; or
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial security programs and controlled goods is highly valued.
- Knowledge of the ITAR Regulation is considered an asset.
- Strong technical skills in security systems, including cameras, access control, and passes.
- Bilingualism, French and English, is required, with intermediate proficiency in both spoken and written forms.
- Demonstrate discretion, autonomy, judgment, integrity, and reliability.
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance.
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
