As a Senior Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the protection of individuals, facilities, property, and data belonging to the company and its customers.

About Your Role:

You will actively participate in the MAS security department's mission, reporting to the Manager, Industrial Security. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Manager Industrial Security in the operational security oversight of all L3Harris MAS facilities;
  • Acting as the point of contact for security guards employees;
  • Planning and assisting during safety inspections, including various audits;
  • Supporting the Communication security (COMSEC) custodian on the development and updating of the emergency plan;
  • Assisting in the maintenance, update, and annual compliance of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP);
  • Providing advice and support to offsite Alternate Company Security Officers (ACSO);
  • Leading and assisting with the development and maintenance of corporate security policies in accordance with L3Harris Corporation security policies and the Canadian Industrial Security Manual;
  • Ensuring compliance with security measures, together with various internal services;
  • Acting as an Alternate Company Security Officers (ACSO), as needed, for the Industrial Security Program;
  • Acting as the Designated Official (DO) for the Controlled Goods Program, as required;
  • Acting as Manager, Industrial Security in their absence.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or;
  • A Graduate Degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or;
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience;
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial security programs and controlled goods, which will be considered a priority;
  • Knowledge of the ITAR Regulation, which will be considered an asset;
  • Strong technical skills in security systems, including cameras, access control, and passes;
  • Bilingualism, French and English, with an intermediate level of proficiency, spoken and written;
  • Demonstrating discretion, autonomy, judgment, integrity, and reliability.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
  • Be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
