Program Support Assistant

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Support Assistant to join their team at the East Van Youth Clinic Team working at the Robert & Lily Lee Family Community Health Centre in Vancouver, BC. Apply today to work as a Support Assistant with Vancouver Coastal Health.
The successful candidate will perform a variety of administrative support functions, including inputting client information into computerized systems, word processing, composing and signing correspondence, and typing reports and documents. They will also answer general inquiries related to programs and policies, booking appointments and meetings. Additionally, they will assist the community/public health nurse, allied health professionals, and other team members in the organization and operation of designated program clinics/services.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12 graduation, an Office Administration program, and one (1) year of recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. They must also have a valid B.C. Driver's license and be able to travel locally using a personal vehicle. Other requirements include knowledge of office practices and procedures, proficiency in relevant software, and ability to keyboard 5,000 keystrokes per hour. They must also be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, work independently and effectively with others, be sensitive, tactful, and diplomatic with clients and the public, and organize and prioritize work. Finally, they must be able to compile information, perform relevant calculations, operate related equipment, and have the physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
