Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Lead to oversee multiple projects of varying complexity and scale, from proposal to completion. The successful candidate will ensure timely delivery, within budget, and adhere to quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare bid packages/proposals by coordinating with engineering, design, estimation, production, and construction teams to provide essential information for competitive bids.
  • Integrate project processes, including planning, engineering, design, construction, and technical functions, while resolving conflicts and settling issues arising during project execution.
  • Review specifications and drawings to understand contractual requirements and client expectations, working closely with field services and engineering teams to ensure constructability in the initial project phase.
  • Provide oversight of day-to-day project activities, ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with clients, building relationships, and addressing issues and problems during project execution.
  • Anticipate potential problems and consult with senior managers to develop strategies and present solutions to affected teams.
  • Assign tasks within the project team, providing necessary technical assistance to ensure adherence to project budget, criteria, and deadlines.
  • Manage project workflows to maintain efficiency, productivity, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, project management, business administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a mid-level or higher project manager, with at least 5 years of leading complex projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing high-value construction projects, spanning the entire project lifecycle, with a proven track record of meeting scope, quality, schedule, and budget expectations.
  • Familiarity with PMP Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and knowledge of relevant environmental and health & safety legislation.
  • Ability to read structural and architectural drawings.
  • A team player with strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Compensation Package:

  • Negotiable salary based on experience: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum.
