Clinical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will be working in a fast-paced laboratory environment where you will be responsible for performing clinical analyses and reporting on patient samples according to established protocols.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical laboratory technology and be registered with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM). They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform clinical analyses and report on patient samples according to established protocols
- Assist in general lab projects such as SOPs, chemical inventories, etc.
- Maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines
- Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program
- Current registration or eligible for registration with the CMLTM
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, pension plan, and paid time off.
