Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Southlake Regional Health Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional support to our patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient appointments and perform clerical duties under the direction of nursing staff and physicians.
  • Act as a receptionist and communicate with patients on the phone and in person.
  • Provide administrative support to healthcare providers and teams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and files.
  • Ensure seamless communication and coordination between healthcare teams and departments.
Requirements
  • Minimum one (1) year of clerical duties in an acute care healthcare environment.
  • Proven ability to attend work regularly and demonstrate a commitment to customer service and teamwork.
  • Demonstrated current knowledge and skill in the use of medical electronic health record systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and analytical skills in relation to knowledge of hospital operations.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, as well as excellent communication and problem assessment skills.
