About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at CMHC - SCHL. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the effective management and governance of our organization's data assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address data management issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to teams on data governance best practices and ensure adherence to data management policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, including data quality, metadata management, and data security.
  • Ensure data governance practices are aligned with CMHC's policies and regulations.
  • Monitor and measure data quality issues and implement remedial actions as needed.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, finance, legal, or commerce, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in data governance, with a strong background in data management and governance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bilingualism (English, French) is required.
