Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Clerk to join our Supply Chain team at Hercules SLR in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for procuring products to support HGC sales and service to customers. Your duties will include authorizing purchase orders, verifying inventory levels, and coordinating with suppliers to meet tight deadlines. You will also be responsible for sourcing and obtaining price quotes, preparing purchase orders, and supporting Purchasing Agents and Category Buyers. In addition, you will participate in the development of specifications for equipment and products, and work with the finance department to process payments and invoices. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma plus college diploma or related certificate, proficiency in spreadsheet programs, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will also need to be fluent in English written and verbal, and legally entitled to work in Canada.
