Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Attendant to join our team at RAMA SWEETS AND RESTAURANT LTD DBA MASALA JUNCTION INDIAN RESTAURANT. As a Food Service Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe dining environment, and ensuring that our guests have a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and handling customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe dining environment by cleaning and sanitizing tables, chairs, and other equipment, as well as restocking supplies and condiments.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and ensure that all dishes are clean and sanitized before being put away.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages, including taking orders and handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet the needs of our guests.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that our guests receive exceptional service and that our dining area is clean and well-maintained.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a food service environment an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask to meet the needs of our guests.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

  • Work in a hot and humid environment, with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and other substances.
