Job Summary:

Cineplex is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of User Experience Design to lead our team in crafting seamless and unforgettable digital journeys across web and mobile apps.

About the Role:

As the Director of User Experience Design, you will be responsible for leading a team of interaction designers, visual designers, user researchers, and digital content specialists on all aspects of digital product design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of highly engaged designers on all aspects of digital product design
  • Define overall UX strategy and standardize processes
  • Analyze and evaluate all design work for quality, adherence to user experience best practices and usability standards
  • Engage with stakeholders and educate them on design principles and best practices
  • Oversee the creation, evolution, and maintenance of the Design System for Cineplex brands
  • Develop user research strategies, identify research opportunities, and ensure appropriate research methods are applied
  • Ensure data from various methods is gathered, analyzed, and synthesized into actionable insights to inform design, personas, and priorities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in User Experience Design, Service Design, or Human Computer Interaction
  • 5-7 years of experience working in a management/leadership position in UX design at an enterprise or agency
  • 7-10 years of experience leading UX teams on large-scale or enterprise projects
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards
  • Proficiency in Figma and understanding of design latest tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly developed strategic and critical thinking skills
  • Expert in User Experience Design Principles and heuristics
  • Expert in User Research methodologies, heuristics, and best practices for conducting research, both qualitative and quantitative
  • Expert in design thinking and leading various DT rituals
  • Extensive knowledge of visual and graphic design principles and theory
  • Extensive knowledge of the latest UX, creative, and visual design trends and best practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships with all stakeholders and leadership
  • A customer-centric focus and ability to interact with various levels of clients in a professional setting
