Job Description:

This permanent, full-time position involves working closely with our dental therapist/dentist team to prepare and assist with dental procedures. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing fluoride treatments to clients
  • Offering instructions on oral hygiene (brushing & flossing)
  • Liaising with staff to connect patients with cultural, social or community supports as appropriate
  • Booking and confirming appointments
  • Documenting client records
  • Providing infection control/sterilization and maintaining a positive public relation with clients
  • General office duties

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • Certification in dental assisting and registration (or) eligibility for registration with the Saskatchewan Dental Assistants' Association
  • A certificate in birth doula studies program or willingness to obtain certification
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license and ability to travel when required
  • Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team member
  • Intermediate computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and public relation skills
  • Ability to speak/understand Cree is an asset

Salary Information:

The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $50,000 and $70,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
